Cradle of Civilization
In 6500 BC people began to gather in a place that is now the country of Iraq. With the Tigris River in the north and the Euphrates River in the south the land became known as Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia was the first place humans gathered together to create large large cities. People learned to write, they created governments, they worshipped hundreds of gods, they farmed, they invented irrigation to water their crops, they came up with new math ideas and created a whole lot of new tools.
